Proxim SX1-1023C-US 5Ghz Stratum X1 Subscriber Unit

The Proxim Stratum X1 SX1-1023C-US is a compact, high-performance 5 GHz outdoor wireless CPE designed for point-to-multipoint subscriber connections and other high-capacity wireless networking applications. Featuring 2×2 MIMO, wireless throughput up to 500 Mbps, and an integrated 15 dBi dual-polarized directional antenna, the Stratum X1 provides an economical and flexible solution for extending broadband connectivity to remote and edge locations.

Operating across 5.150–5.850 GHz, the SX1-1023C-US supports 20, 40, and 80 MHz channel widths with OFDM modulation up to 1024-QAM. Proxim's WORP® wireless protocol is optimized for outdoor broadband networks, providing efficient bandwidth allocation, QoS, and reliable connectivity for WISP, industrial, municipal, transportation, utility, campus, and enterprise deployments.

Integrated and External Antenna Flexibility

The SX1-1023C-US incorporates a 15 dBi dual-polarized panel antenna with an approximately 35° beamwidth, providing a broader coverage pattern than narrow-beam backhaul radios and simplifying alignment during subscriber installations.

The radio also includes two RP-SMA connectors for external antennas. Antenna selection is software-controlled, allowing installers to switch between the integrated antenna and an external antenna system without changing radio hardware. This provides additional flexibility for longer-distance links or installations requiring higher gain or a specialized antenna pattern.

The Proxim SX1-1023C-US is designed primarily as a Stratum point-to-multipoint client, providing a compact and cost-effective way to connect subscriber locations to a Proxim Stratum 5 GHz network. Its integrated antenna simplifies typical CPE deployments, while external antenna support allows the same radio to accommodate more demanding installations.
